The family business was founded on May 1, 1949 by Kurt Hahn as an anchor winding company. For 20 years, we repaired engines, carried out electrical installations and sold household appliances. Transformer production began in September 1969.

HAHN developed into a world-famous manufacturer of transformers, chokes, converters, transformers and ignition electronics with today three production facilities.

The headquarter and thereof the central of the HAHN group is located in Hungen (Hessen), with administration and production. HAHN has been producing in Güsten (Saxony-Anhalt) since 1998 and in 2005 the production was launched in Nowowolynsk (Western Ukraine).
Today there are around 600 employees work in the entire HAHN Group. 5 national and 25 international partners and as well 5 distributors ensure the sales and success of HAHN products.

The management gathered there employees together for a journey through time of the company's history and at the same time the management thanked all employees and actors who have contributed to the company's success.

The anniversary was celebrated internally with small gifts. There will be another anniversary event in October 2024, to which retired employees have also been invited.
